AI and data platforms, built by someone who answers the phone.
I'm the founder of Solvix Labs — a one-person boutique practice, not a bench of juniors. I design and deliver AI and data platform work on Azure AI, Databricks and Snowflake, with identity and access built in from day one.
What I do, hands-on.
I work across three things most firms split into separate teams: AI platforms, data platforms, and the identity layer that governs both. You get one consultant who understands how they connect — not three vendors who don't talk to each other.
AI Strategy & Adoption
Pragmatic roadmaps for where AI creates real value in your organisation — and where it introduces risk you're not yet positioned to carry.
Azure AI Platform
Design and delivery on Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services — from pilot to production-grade deployment.
Databricks & Snowflake
Data platform architecture, lakehouse and warehouse design, and pipeline builds that give your AI workloads clean, governed data to run on.
IAM Architecture & Zero Trust
Design and modernisation of identity platforms — SSO, federation, provisioning and least-privilege access — built for scale and audit.
AI Governance & Risk
Model access controls, usage policy, risk registers and audit trails that satisfy both security and compliance stakeholders.
Agentic AI Access Control
Governance for the fastest-growing identity type in the enterprise: AI agents. Credentialing, scoping and monitoring non-human identity.
Selected engagements.
Client names are withheld under standard advisory confidentiality. Details reflect representative engagement structure and outcomes I delivered directly.
Challenge. A proof-of-concept built on Azure OpenAI had stalled — no clear path to production, and no owner for cost, access or model risk.
Approach. I designed the Azure AI Foundry architecture, set up scoped access and cost controls, and led the build through to production.
Result. A production AI assistant live within six weeks, with access and spend fully governed from day one.
Challenge. Plant, ERP and quality data sitting in five disconnected systems, making any AI or analytics initiative start from scratch each time.
Approach. I designed a Databricks lakehouse feeding a governed Snowflake layer, with row-level access tied to existing identity groups.
Result. A single governed data foundation, cutting the lead time on the next three AI use cases from months to weeks.
Challenge. Flat network trust between corporate systems and depot/OT infrastructure, with privileged access granted broadly and rarely reviewed.
Approach. I designed a phased zero trust model, replacing standing admin access with just-in-time approval and continuous device posture checks.
Result. Materially reduced standing privilege, with access reviews cut from quarterly manual audits to continuous automated policy checks.
Challenge. Engineering teams shipping AI agents faster than security could track them — many holding broad, long-lived API credentials.
Approach. I introduced a non-human identity register, short-lived scoped credentials, and per-agent access policy aligned to existing IAM.
Result. Full visibility into agent-to-system access, with credential lifetime reduced from indefinite to hours.
How an engagement runs.
Map your platforms & access
I audit what's running on Azure, Databricks or Snowflake today, and who and what already has access — including AI agents most teams haven't catalogued.
Architect the solution
A right-sized AI, data and access design, matched to your risk tolerance and existing stack — not a rip-and-replace, and not a generic template.
Build it with you, directly
I work hands-on alongside your engineers — no handoff to a delivery team you've never met. Capability stays in-house after I leave.
Hand over with evidence
Documentation, audit trails and review cadences that satisfy both your board and your next compliance assessment.
Founder, Solvix Labs
12+ years in AI, data platforms & identity & access management
Solvix Labs Pty Ltd is me — an independent AI and data consultant. There's no bench of juniors behind the pitch: when you work with Solvix Labs, I'm the person who scopes the engagement, designs the architecture, and sits with your engineers to build it.
Over 12+ years I've worked across Azure AI, Databricks and Snowflake, and — less commonly paired with data work — identity & access management. That combination is deliberate. AI and data platforms built without an identity-literate view become ungoverned access risk; identity programs built without AI and data context miss where access actually needs to flex.
The name comes from solve. Most organisations don't need another framework or another vendor relationship — they need one person who can close the gap between the platform they're building and the access model that should govern it.

You work with me, not a bench
Every engagement is scoped, architected and delivered by me directly — no handoff to junior staff after the pitch.
Right-sized, not maximal
I recommend the smallest architecture that solves the actual problem, not the largest one I'm capable of building.
Evidence over assurance
Every recommendation is designed to leave an audit trail — access decisions your team can prove, not just describe.
Capability transfer
I work alongside your team so the knowledge — not just the deliverable — stays with you after the engagement ends.
Start with a scoping call.
Tell me where AI, data or access are colliding in your organisation. I'll respond within one business day with next steps — personally.
